Josh A. Williams, M.A.
Principal, President
As Founder and Principal Researcher at BW Research, Josh Williams has been actively questioning everything around him for as long as his mother remembers him speaking. Mr. Williams is responsible for the firm’s workforce and economic development research and voter and political feasibility studies. Prior to founding BW Research, Mr. Williams was Director of Research for another west coast-based research firm. While there, Mr. Williams directed or supervised over 200 research projects over a six-year period with an aggregate budget over three million dollars. With a passion and deep understanding of workforce and economic development research, Mr. Williams was keynote speaker on workforce and economic development issues at several conferences and summits.
In addition to workforce and economic development research, Mr. Williams’ work has included voter and political feasibility research, transportation studies, resident research for public agencies, strategic planning, and corporate market research including product testing and market sizing. Mr. Williams has also provided research consulting services to several non-profit agencies on his own time, free of charge.
Mr. Williams is well-versed in a wide array of sophisticated quantitative methods to analyze data and, more importantly, provide clear directions for clients based on research findings. Mr. Williams received his B.A. in International Economics from George Washington University and his M.A. in Economics from California State University, Long Beach.

Philip G. Jordan, J.D.
Principal, Chief Business Officer
As Principal and Chief Business Officer of BW Research, Philip Jordan is responsible for exploring new business opportunities and leads the firm's expansion efforts across the nation. Philip's career has been focused on problem solving by informing public policy and business decision making through reliable, honest information and thoughtful insight and analysis. His duties with BW Research include new business development, project management, outreach, and public speaking. He also manages the firm's Green LMI division, a company which he managed until its merger with BW in 2011. Philip has authored numerous reports, including national solar labor market studies, regional renewable energy and green construction analyses, and comprehensive reports on industry clusters from healthcare to technology.
Prior to founding Green LMI, Philip was the Director of the San Diego and Imperial Region Center of Excellence where he provided training and skill gap analysis to the nine community colleges in his region. His research focused primarily on healthcare, information and communications technologies, and green industries. Prior to managing the Center, Philip was a consultant for Mass Insight, a private consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts, and was an Associate at Bingham McCutchen where he practiced real estate, environmental, and aviation law.
Philip is currently an adjunct instructor in San Diego State University's Green Careers Program, and is an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. He received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and his J.D. and Certificate in Environmental and Land Law from Boston College Law School. Mr. Jordan lives in Massachusetts and has offices in Wrentham, MA and Carlsbad, CA.

Jaime Barrah-Burtoft, M.S.
Principal, Director of Research
As Founder and Principal Researcher at BW Research, Jaime Barrah is responsible for ensuring the highest quality research deliverables. Ms. Barrah prides herself on providing clients with the information needed to answer questions, assist planning efforts, and improve their communities through attentive customer service and high quality research.
Prior to founding BW Research, Ms. Barrah worked as the Associate Research Director at the same west coast-based research firm where Mr. Williams was Director. While there, Ms. Barrah directly managed over 150 research projects during her six-year tenure, including design, management, analysis, and presentation of results.
Ms. Barrah is also an experienced institutional researcher who spent a number of years working at Riverside Community College. A published author and member of Phi Beta Kappa, Ms. Barrah received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside and her M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino.

Veronica Williams
Chief Technology Officer
As a Founder of BW Research, Veronica Williams is responsible for the firm’s innovative technical solutions. Prior to BW Research Partnership, Ms. Williams worked as a consultant/contractor to develop and manage interactive web applications, database applications and websites for various corporations and organizations. Ms. Williams produces all aspects of development - from the conceptual and user interface designs to development of front and back-end of applications.
Ms. Williams' work includes projects for global corporations, community agencies, government and transportation agencies, cities, health-care and private/public companies.
